Also, I do remember that these events play a pivotal role in being w/Arshem:

-attempting to tell him the truth during the first battle

-needing to have an angel fish? (that yellow fish) or two, ready for him for the full confession/truth scene

-needing to have touched the Siren Globe in the Headmaster's office

-Affection being high enough for him to "save" you after the sparring scene

-winning the missing cat quest

And making sure to pick the highest affection related choices during times you talk to him on or outside of dates with him (usually choices that allow him to be himself).

Honestly not sure😭. You might want to check the guide for the quests, and days where specific things occur,  to see if there's anything you didn't do that could be causing you to get an ending without him. A lot of the story/plot relies around you fulfilling those quests with npcs before a specific day occurs, while also needing to max their affection out. So if you happen to do any of npc quests too late or fail them, that could perhaps trigger an ending you don't want?🤷‍♀️

There's a guide link in the post from 13 days ago on a google docs you can use. It's a bit confusing at first. If it helps to simplify it, i basically did all of the quests, unlocked all diary entrees, touched the globe when i break into the headmasters office to make Arshem help save me later by bringing me to the headmaster. 

Also, talk to him on every day you have the option to click on different places and save before your convos with him. That way you know what he likes and doesn't like. And then reload and pick the same options that make him happy. He also likes to be your sugar daddy, so on your date with him for his bday, pick the most expensive plate. Not doing so drops his affection for you. You can check their notes to see which choices also give you more or less heart ❤️ status with him.

move your mouse cursor in front of the fountain until you see a magnifying 🔎 glass pop up and then click it. That's the hairpin you can use to brain into the Headmaster's office 

Im super glad you pushed through and made this game. Ive loved playing it alot. I kid you not, im at 68 or 70hrs of current gameplay time😅😂😂😂, just from playing it all. Ive done 3 of four romance routes (Thane is my last one🙌) and I restarted once due to my confusion with the guide a bit. But ive def loved the entire game and im super happy that you're gonna work on the 18+ dlc! Tbh, I dont think that's how taking over a game from another company works at all, because then it's a completely different game and you might as well make a whole new game vs continuing what you were doing. I just meant that I think people would be happy the game gets done at all😅. Since Ypress is usually just the financer in cases like that. 

Ypress mostly leaves things like the original story and art up to the first devs. Take for example: Sentimental Trickster, which Ypress took over. No non con whatsoever.

And personally? To each their own, if people want to play games w/non con. Darker games can actually help heal you from your own trauma (speaking from experience). I also personally think that Ypress games, is one of the few sex positive/consenting LGBTQ+ indie companies out there with the majority of their games being 100% consensual except a few. And only a couple of those few containing non con sex with clear warning descriptions.

But if you dislike them, you dislike them. To each their own, right?

I'm not sure what you mean? Ypress isn't taking over helping this game, so you shouldn't spread misinformation😅. Maybe you thought that because of Jackie being mentioned whose taking over? But she's her own person/individual, and isn't a part of any company as far as I know. 

Also, if Ypress did take over, I think everyone would mostly just be glad that they'd offer their support & finances just to get it done and to have something🤣. 

Also, when you take over another game already in the process of being made, you tend to leave the story/art to whomever was doing so beforehand...in order to help keep the story cohesive, or to find someone new who can match that style.

Of course! And world building really is fun, I find it one of my fav aspects of story writing, when I manage to write here or there. And it'll be interesting to see your side project either way! Nothing wrong with overlapping paths, those stories can be fun too! Can't wait to see your future games😆🙌!

I then also recently bought your other game Changeling after I came across Gilded Shadows and found myself really loving your games😆, they're both so amazing (even tho im not done with both yet🙈), and I'm loving how you world build. 

Omg and let's not forget the branching? All of the RO routes you make, seem to have their own different branching  personal stories/paths with the MC.  Versus like you playing an MC on very similar routes for all of them with mostly common route activity 🥲. So yeah, please keep up the great work! I hope you continue to make more amazing games after you finish Gilded Shadows! I would love to keep playing your stories. They're so fun☺️ (and the romance is a plus🤣)!

In regards to the discord which I haven't been onto in a few months, it seems like there has finally been more of an update.  Here's what Parival has said as of recently this past summer:

So...I don't know what this means for the game, nor why they can't provide these same updates on their other platforms. I also just wonder if it will really end up getting finished? Idk tbh. As of right now, I feel like we all just have more questions vs answers/replies. It's still not guaranteed in my opinion, based off of how Parival has dealt with things via communications/their customers/audience. 

So, Im not sure I want to go with Parival's words just yet, until we actually see some more progress being done visually, and we hear news from Jackie's end. But, this new update still doesn't really change my stance on how I feel with things in regards with how communications have gone down. I guess only time will tell 🤷‍♀️, hopefully it will come out some day. 

And to Parival, I do hope, that you get better soon for what it's worth, despite how I feel about the state of this game. I know personally and on a similar level some of the things you're going through, and I hope you've managed to get some help for your mental/physical health. Because, that's always the most important, at the end of the day.

I posted on here 2yrs ago in support/encouragement/and hopes that everything would be all right with this game and for the dev, since it hadn't been too long at that time since a nice, detailed update was provided. I can without a doubt say that this project is dead to me right now, and I'm sorry to see it so. Perhaps it will come out some day, perhaps it won't. Personally, they've had two years, almost three now --to give a detailed update/response on what's realllly going on with the game, and what the future realistically holds for it/them. 

But they've personally chosen to avoid every question asked, NOT to provide any detailed updates, and constantly ignore the questions about the game, or vaguely answer them on their discord server as being in a "haitus" or "working on it on the side." That's bad business/customer service to me. So as far as I feel and believe? This game is dead and  I probably will veer away from supporting Parival in the future. There has to be give and receive for trust to take place.

Yay, I'm glad I could help explain! And I figured as much too. The art style for both games looks different, so I figured you had 2 completely different teams going, and I think it's great you can hop back and forth to work on the games when you have to wait for more art content from another🙌. And completely agreed, most if not all indie dev groups (or smaller game companies) need to be able to work on multiple projects if they want to stay afloat as developers. So I'm very happy that you're able to put in the hard work and dedication to man both teams and keep going, so thank you😘😆🙌! Your work is very much appreciated ☺!

Just for anyone's curiosity on possible game release dates:

Originally, the game had been planned to be finished by Q4 of 2022. But that was largely in part due to the smaller (original) amount of ROs. After the stretch goals and the many others that were added, it's become apparent to all of us fans out there and the Dev😆🙌 of this game, that they will actually need more time to create/finish the game, especially due to waiting on art CGs because they have to be worked on and tend to take the longest. Artists aren't vending machines, ya know?

Well, anyways, with that in mind --I assume the Dev can work on 3 or maybe 4 max routes a year? At least until we reach that pinnacle of 12 🥳🙌. So this game is likely to be out by the end of 2024 or 2025 (no guarantees tho, because IRL obstacles can occur) For those that don't wish to wait so long, I suggest the beta access and purchasing it whenever you find it on sale. The routes will be added as they complete, and you can finish them 1 by one. Meyaoi's games also tend to take a while to play through for me, so I personally NEEDED the beta access 🤣.

Side note for anyone interested: 

*The Baradise Escape game was actually a game put into motion BEFORE the making of BR. Due to some things, it had to get temporarily shelved. But the artists team is revving to go again on it, and the Dev is ready to work with them and continue this wonderful game🙌🥳!*

Personal note: "It's possible, that even if the Dev only worked on just BR or BE that neither would finish sooner. I think it's because, they still have to wait for things when you work with a team on games such as: BGs, regular CGs, NSFW CGs, sprites, animations, along with coding, etc. This means there will be down times where the Dev honestly can't do anything but wait. So I think it's good that during those times, they can likely hop from working on one game to the next😆🙌"

Oh! Also something a character mentioned to me I'm glad I didn't miss, was that having Full Charm would allow you to bond with monsters and also have more "love" skills to defeating them. So the by using your charm all the way to max, you'll also prob be helping yourself like that too besides getting those potions and strengthening (ATK/DEF/HP/MP).  So maybe working towards a goal of getting enhancement potions plus FULL CHARM will greatly help🙌😆!

Grill...? I don't remember getting such a request. He just told me to go fishing for salmon from the Slime Forest, and then bring 5 back to him on his second request.  He wants fish to grill for himself, if I recall. So just carry at least 5 Salmon fish in your inventory to him and he should automatically consider the request done🙌! The third request after should be the Blu jello (or whatever that dropping from slime monsters is called *I forget😅🙈*. That request is basically to collect 15 of those droppings from slime monsters you defeat. Hope this helps 😊!

Oh! You said "go-to" lmao, see how tired I am. This is what hrs upon hrs of school work does to me🤣. Anyways, I actually didn't realize this either until today. But at the end of the day when your taken home. 

In Ban's room, in the bottom left hand corner where the map screen is. Click on that and it actually takes you to the night life aspect of Banana Ranch. The only places you can visit at night tho, is the bar, the forest, the ranch, and the love hotel I believe. If you still can't figure it out, then feel free to send me another reply and I'll screen shot where it is in-game tomorrow after my classes let out🙌

To answer your question, I actually haven't gotten that far myself🥲. But last I went to the love hotel, I was given a quest after talking to that police duo. So I'm assuming the love hotel will open up after I complete the quest for getting the owner of the hotel to help out the police in staking out their suspect. 

For me, I couldn't outright do the quest because it said my Knowledge Stat was lacking. So I have to go back and build that first (via reading books in the library or watching the news when your at home). So I'm assuming once I have a full knowledge meter, and go back to complete the quest, I will unlock the love hotel options👀 🙌!

Wuh oh, you must have purchased two different versions there on accident. The 45$ version should give you access to the beta and it should download (granted that there's nothing going on with itchio's platform or launcher). 

But only if you payed for the 45$. If you have purchased both tiers: the base 29.99 and the 45$. I recommend contacting support via itchio's email service: support@itch.io ( I believe that's the email I used when I upgraded to a different tier. It took them about 2 business days to reply). 

They should refund you one of the tiers. If you still want the beta access just make sure you ask them for a refund for the 29.99 tier and tell them you made a purchase for the 45$ beta tier. 

Sorry if it's not downloading the 45$ tier you purchased. Something might be wrong with their platform or itchio's launcher app today. Because I tried to update to the most recent beta version and it's still not working. But, I already have the game installed, and have been playing the beta. So for me, I don't know if it's the app or the file, etc. But you should def try and contact support so that you get a refund for that 29$! Hopefully Meyaoi can help you if the issue persists.

Hi! and Sorry to bother you, but for some reason Itchio isn't updating to the newest version for me I think? It still says 1.2 and when I click "manage" and then "check for recent updates" it says "found new version" but then doesn't proceed to update. Here's a couple pictures if it helps. And I am using Itchio launcher app. So maybe it's something wrong with the app? And thanks so much for your hard work!

Also side not: I know you fixed the shop error from the first beta release. But in the second, (1.2 version) for some reason the shop is empty for me. Is that supposed to be the case until later in the game? Although, that's coming from version 1.2 so maybe it doesn't happen in 1.3? Anyways thank you so much! Really appreciate all of your hard work!
